. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Report to the head of (Therapeutic Area) Medical Science

• Maintain up to date scientific intelligence/clinical knowledge in relevant disease area(s) and provide appropriate strategic and operational input into UCB Strategies

Identify gaps for medical education and scientific exchange related to the disease

• Participate in making Disease Area medical strategy, medical plan and patient value brand plan

• Plan and execute scientific activities at national and international conferences as well as Advisory Board Meeting

• Identify and address existing data gaps, drive development and execution of strategic publication plan, facilitate utilization of RWD/RWE for data generation and monitor/support IIS if applicable

• Drive development of innovative and scientific content tools in alignment with medical and brand strategy and closely participate in digital transformation towards maximization of MSL activities and field engagement

• Collaborate closely with Medical Operations, Clinical Development, Solution in xPVU and other departments in the pre- and post- launch activities (submissions, package inserts, interview forms etc.)

• Scientific input to promotional/educational materials

• Take part in review and approvals of promotional materials when necessary

• Provide expertise and guidance to MSL community and acts as a mentor for MSLs supporting their further development

• Collaborate with Training Department to ensure Medical Affairs role based trainings are developed, assigned and completed in a timely manner

• Develop and maintain a strong local to global internal network of stakeholders for the best alignment on common projects

• Manage and monitor educational grants and Investigator-Sponsored Research when necessary; collaborate with Finance for budgeting and tracking expenses

• In collaboration with Head of Medical Science, monitors operational budget to ensure effective budget utilization and alignment with budget plans
