Position Summary & Job Description 

As part of an extended team, ensure EDGE (day great execution) through collaboration in theverye development of optimal standards and routings for new and updated products, participate on FMEAs and commercialization team activities to ensure new product and technology deployments are integrated as per “Right First Time” expectations for quality, cost, and safety, and leverage LEAN and continuous improvement methodologies to improve processes and product performance through the site delivering annual value realization goals

 

Major Duties:

• Lead the Industrial Engineering requirements associated with the commercialization of new products or technologies.  
• Benchmark and develop optimized labor standards, provide insight, input and support for line trials, Dfmea, Pfmea and RFT Tech Readiness. 
• Research, develop and create improvements, which enhance productivity, cost, product quality and customer service of the Estee Lauder companies.  
• Support Supply Chain management on the development and implementation of global strategies and initiatives, including Category strategies. 
• Ensure the best manufacturing and distribution techniques are used in production and distribution for optimum quality, customer service and quantity output, provide engineering support for capital equipment purchases and perform time studies to optimize pick and pack, compounding and filling and assembly operations.   
• Develops production and distribution layouts determining optimal flow and requirements.  
• This position will also facilitate the Industrial Engineering value analysis/value engineering efforts.
• New / Changed Product Commercialization – works closely with the site Commercialization teams and Operations in the development of labor standards, execution of line trials, RFT Tech readiness process, Dfmea, Pfmea, Category product Transfers etc. 
• Master Data- Develop and input Master Production versions for new and changed products
• Collaborate with Central Engineering and Project Engineers to develop ROI and business case justification for Capital Project and strategic initiatives.
• Develops Production and Distribution layouts, determines manpower requirements, conducts capacity analysis.
• Participate and lead in the ideation, development, evaluation, recommendation, and execution of advanced technologies such as Robotics, Late Stage Differentiation, Manufacturing and Distribution Execution systems.
• Lead in the development, recommendation, and implementation of improvement projects and systems for all Plants and Distribution Centers.
• Lead IE technical support for Value Realization and Optimization initiatives.
• Researches, recommends and implements improved productivity procedures, processes or systems to improve labor utilization in both manufacturing and distribution.
• Leads other Industrial Engineers to ensure consistent methods and best practices are used in developing and monitoring productivity and efficiency.

 

Requirement:

• Bachelor degree required, preferred in Industrial Engineer 
• Lean Certification, Six Sigma – Black Belt, TPM, Project Management Certification
• PC expertise (Office, Simulation, SAP, Autocad  other databases)
• Strong analytical  and data management skills 
• Must be able to multi task and establish priorities
• Position requires travel to locations
• Excellent interpersonal ,organizational  and communication skills required
