External Description:
Owns overall project management activities for multiple projects, i.e. project planning, scope management, schedule management, cost management, quality management, communication & stakeholder management (including external vendors), risk and issue management, change management, and others as required by the projects
- Collaborate and communicate with functional teams in Japan, regional or global headquarters of the company through projects, and project related escalations, meetings, and other media. Serves as the key point of contact for all aspects of the program or project; ensures smooth execution and delivery
- Produces accurate and professional regular reports for assigned projects and presents at executive reviews. Develops, manages and reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules and prepares communication reports
- Assesses project issues and develops solutions to meet cost, quality, timing and delivery objectives
- Develops appropriate tools to monitor project progress and communicate appropriately to key stakeholders
- Produces and maintains project associated documents such as project management plan, work breakdown structure, project approval related documents, RACI, meeting minutes, risk/issue/change register, and regular project reports.
- Learns and operationalize business model, terminology, systems, processes, closely related projects, and culture and core values, which are essential for smooth project management.
- Contributes own knowledge and learning to PMO through study groups, lessons learnt, tool development, and other team meetings
- Develops and executes regular improvement activities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the product development and business program processes
- Project types may include but not be limited to
- new product development and product launches, business programs or initiatives - business programs established under Annual Operating Plan or Long-Range Business Plan. - business workflow visualization and process improvements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND/OR RELATED EXPERIENCE

BA/BS
Business Administration (majoring in Marketing), Computer Science, Project Management, Business Information Services, Finance, Engineering
A minimum of 5-year experience in project management
PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner certified (desired)
