External Description:

• Medical & scientific subject matter expert for the assigned Disease Area (DA) (eg: dermatology, rheumatology, epilepsy, rare diseases) • Generate medical and scientific evidence to fulfill unmet medical needs through utilization of RWD/RWE and strategic publication management • Engage externally with relevant key stakeholders to deliver scientific exchange and to seize & drive key initiatives • Transversally collaborate with other functions locally and globally to help execute the medical components of the local patient value brand plans (PVBP)

【Major Accountabilities】
• Report to the head of (Therapeutic Area) Medical Science • Maintain up to date scientific intelligence/clinical knowledge in relevant disease
area(s) and
provide appropriate strategic and operational input into UCB Strategies
• Identify gaps for medical education and scientific exchange related to the disease
• Participate in making Disease Area medical strategy, medical plan and patient value
brand plan
• Plan and execute scientific activities at national and international conferences as well
as Advisory
Board Meeting
• Identify and address existing data gaps, drive development and execution of strategic
publication
plan, facilitate utilization of RWD/RWE for data generation and monitor/support IIS if
applicable
• Drive development of innovative and scientific content tools in alignment with medical
and brand
strategy and closely participate in digital transformation towards maximization of MSL
activities
and field engagement
