External Description:

This role is accountable to plan & implement Logistics and Customer Service projects, in order to keep business up-to-date to industry standard and meet customers in Japan / oversea requirements from order taking, 3PL management, system usage and quality of deliveries.

 

To actively identify the optimization potential for distribution networks by analyzing current & future material flows (finished goods & raw materials, inbound & outbound), manufacturing locations, tollers, and distribution points considering capabilities, risks, and synergies by  turning them into technically viable concepts

To capture, structure, and prioritize operational design requirements, business models & goals by working directly with Business Units/Sites; taking overall leadership responsibility for turning viable concepts into competitive customer solutions

To conduct complex impact analysis on cost and service (at optimum vertical distribution levels) for facilities to be deployed (using a calculated optimal plan) by applying engineering design, visualizing dimensions (e.g. supplier-customer-map, lead times, cost, compliance), mapping processes and inter-linkages, validating model inputs and outputs with key stakeholders, providing cost and benefit transparency, making final and comprehensive network structure proposal including workability alignment with Procurement that supports strategies, and drives cost & inventory optimization

 

Lead/Support projects in Customer Fulfilment team by effectively communicating with and getting the buy-in from business teams, group functions and other stakeholders on expectations and drive projects through successful completion to realize benefits

Develop and implement logistics standard procedures and ensure high service levels at minimum cost

Analyze the various Supply Chain Processes in Japan and provide consultancy in improving the processes by developing and implementing innovative solutions and concepts

Support decision making for incremental upgrades or changes to network setup

Alignment of resources and priorities

Maintain cost estimates for services/business setup

Support in resolving regular tactical transportation issues working directly with teams in Logistics Operations,  Business Units, Supply Chain, Sites, Quality Assurance as well as Procurement and external Logistics Service Providers (LSP)

To start a position, (depending on experience of the candidate) it is required to work operational tasks with Customer Fulfilment team (i.e. logistics, customer service tasks incl. SAP operation) for a certain period of time to gain hands-on knowledge in order to lead projects in the organization.

Work Experience

Experience in Experience in Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Business Process analysis, Industrial engineering

Project Management Experience in an international environment
