Job Summary

Operational Excellence Lead reports to Head of Saitama Site. This role manages Operational Excellence (OE) strategy, OE program, OE projects, and OE procedures for Saitama Factory with Global initiatives, include overseeing OE training and 5S activities. And this role oversees Project Management (PMO), KPI tracking, Risk Management and Hoshin Kanri (Annual Objective tracking) with global initiatives. This role manages Saitama site operation as a member of Site LT too.

 

Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities  
-    Lead the Operational Excellence activity of Saitama site with aligning to the global strategy and closely communicating with global initiatives.
-    Take a role of a site rep. for Global OE and PMO initiatives
-    Deliver Saving and achieve the annual target
-    Arrangement and/or take a trainer role of Six Sigma Yellow & Green Belt training for factory workers
-    Lead key OE projects and other projects (especially on complex projects) as a project leader.
-    Keep track KPIs of Saitama Factory and report to Global Internal Manufacturing Leadership team (IMLT)
-    Manage and maintain the KPI reporting web system.
-    Manage site risk with site LT team and report to Global initiative with the web reporting system.
-    Lead 5S activities as a committee chair
-    Create the Annual Hoshin Table (Annual Objective) based on IMLT’s and Factory Head’s decision. Keep track the progress of Annual Hoshin.
-    Manage project portfolio and progress of each project as PMO
-    Manage the tools of project management for Saitama site projects
-    Control CAPEX budget and budgeting process.
-    Contribute to entire factory operations as a member of Saitama Site Leadership Team 
-    Report to Head of Saitama Site

 

Education & Qualifications

Education Level  :  Bachelor's Degree

Other Qualifications  :Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (prefer Master BB)
Experience :  At least 5years of management experience in Lean Six Sigma or such efficiency improvement area in Factory. Or equivalent capability. Experience in Global pharmaceutical company is preferable.

 

 Competencies   
-    Professional skills and knowledge in Lean Six Sigma. Black Belt Level is preferable.
-    Professional skill of project management (Experience of project leader for Complex and Global projects, including budget/cost, stakeholder, technology/Engineering management)
-    Skills to build strategy and to breakdown the strategy into actions.
-    Professional skills to manage & lead people and teams. 
-    Strong Leadership to coach, motivate and energize people.
-    Have a strong Passion for achievements.
-    Have an established unique leadership (Authentic Leadership) style to lead the team to achieve goals.
-    Strong growth mindset to develop herself / himself and the team.
-    Strong communication skill in both Japanese and English which is enough efficient for stakeholder management.
-    Strong problem-solving skill
-    Basic knowledge of GMP and relevant laws, especially for the process development and engineering area.
-    Have a basic knowledge of production equipment, process, and factory operation.
